What is Breakout EDU? It is an approximately 45-minute activity where groups of students have to work together - using critical thinking, communication, collaboration, problem solving , and creativity - to solve clues to break into the locked box(es).
PRSD8 has a set of 6 boxes that we can bring to your class; or we can do several classes in the same day with the same game; games take about an hour of class time to explain and play, with about 1 hour [due to COVID sanitiizing] in between to "re-load" for the next class (playing the same game)
The “games” below are ones that we have tweaked/copied/cut/laminated/tested and have ready to bring to your classroom. We’ve tried to start our PRSD8 Games Library with broad topics that are useable at a variety of grades/subjects, but if you have a specific topic in mind, contact an Instructional Coach and we will see what is available (fully digital based Breakout games are also available -these save tons of times in pre-planning, set-up and clean-up)) - some free digital games are available at www.Breakoutedu.com -contact us for a password
