Please enjoy the Virtual Character Education skit:
Reflect with Gratitude on the Charger Way: #PDisMoreThanBuildings
Time to Reflect in your "Write Your Own Story" Journal on the Character Ed. Skit:
Which character did you connect with and learn from? Why?"
How are you using your character traits at home?
Here some examples of Permissions slips that might be helpful to consider in this time of Remote Learning:
Permission to feel, fail and forgive.
Permission to not be perfect
Permission to accept help and support
Permission to show grace to yourself and others
Permission to tune into your feelings and needs and do what you feel is best for you and your family
Permission to take a break
Permission to be flexible with yourself and others
Take a moment of pause and reflect on Permission Slips. What permission slips do you feel would be beneficial in your world?

Lower School Counselor, Margot Brinley, shares information about the Zones of Regulation, taken from Leah Kuypers' curriculum designed to foster self-regulation and emotional control. Students in the Lower School have practiced using the Zones as a way to manage heightened emotions. The students know that self-regulation is the ability to use techniques and strategies to manage feelings with self-control.
Please make time to join your student for this 30 minute interactive lesson.
We recognize that we all will be experiencing a range of emotions during this time of remote learning. We hope that the Zones of Regulation lessons can help with feelings/zones identification and strategies to self-regulate and “move back to green.” Attached please find resources and strategies to “move from Red to Green.” If you have any questions about this information, please reach out to Margot Brinley.
