PROJECT STREET VET OVERVIEW
OUR MISSION & VISIONĀ
Project Street Vet (PSV) is a nonprofit public charity that empowers veterinary teams to deliver professional, non-judgmental medical care & support to pet families experiencing homelessness and housing vulnerability. Our vision is to create a world where veterinary care is accessible to every pet family. The organization is built on a simple promise: No Judgment. Just Help.
Our work is grounded in compassion and the belief that caring for pets also means caring for people. We honor the humanāanimal bond as a source of companionship, stability, and unconditional love, and we center that bond in everything we do.
Founded by veterinarian Dr. Kwane Stewart, our PSV community includes more than 50 volunteer veterinarians, over 100 veterinary technicians and assistants, hundreds of community volunteers, and a small but dedicated staff of three.Ā
Currently, PSV has teams providing services in: Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, Riverside, & San Diego (CA), Atlanta (GA), Orlando & Webster (FL), and New York City (NY). Each location is supported by local volunteer veterinary professionals who bring compassionate care directly to pet families experiencing homelessness.
OUR VALUES
