About the Community Board

The Jefferson County Communities That Care board met for the first time on September 15, 2017 for a day-long retreat. Many retreat attendees had been involved in the CYLC Prevention Subcommittee, while others became involved after hearing about CTC. The board is comprised of over 40 individuals representing multiple sectors and Jefferson County organizations. Board projects include:

  • Creating a vision statement for Jefferson County CTC and bylaws outlining membership and participation guidelines

  • Enhancing communications, including use of this website to distribute and store materials

  • Forming and supporting active work groups to engage youth, analyze and/or collect data, and to assess resources in the community

  • Creating a comprehensive data assessment and logic models describing youth risk & protective factors, along with a resource assessment outlining existing community programs, policies, strategies, campaigns or events that address key youth issues, in order to avoid duplication and create smart partnerships.

  • Creating a Jefferson County CTC Strategic & Action Plan.

  • Evaluating efforts on an on-going basis.
