Probability and statistics.
The course has an increased emphasis on problem solving and mathematical reasoning. The Mathematics Team recognise the importance of GCSE mathematics in helping to enhance life chances. A large number of Priory School students go on to study mathematics at A Level at college. The study of mathematics helps prepare students for jobs involving complex communication and expert thinking.
Students will sit end of half term assessments in preparation for end of year GCSE examination. The exam will comprise one non-calculator and two calculator exam papers at the end of Year 11.
