This week we had the Northern Arts Factory visit us in school to provide a taster session of what they do at Pudsey Waterloo on a Monday evening. We spent the session learning new songs and participating in simple drama games.
This week Y1 visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park as part of their Science learning about animals including humans. The children walked around the park observing many different animals including polar bears, meerkats, giraffes, wallabys and lions. They attended an interactive workshop about classifying and grouping animals and enjoyed meeting and stroking (!) Monty the snake, two very fast moving cockroaches and giant African land snails. They had a wonderful time and all of the children were brilliantly behaved. A big thank you to our parent volunteers who helped us on the day too!
