About the winter guard...

Since 1984, The Pride of Cincinnati has existed to offer young people a quality educational and performance experience in the sport known as color guard. Their participation helps develop them into culturally enriched, caring, motivated, responsible, and goal-oriented adults.

The Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard has consistently set new standards in the color guard activity while maintaining an extremely positive membership experience. From being one of the first color guards to use a floor covering, to some of the most memorable World Championship performances of all times, members have always displayed the joy of performing.

Currently, the group thrills and inspires younger performers at local shows hosted by Tri-State Marching Arts, Mid East performance Association, and the Indiana High School Color Guard Association. The Pride of Cincinnati has been a perennial World Championships "finalist" in the WGI Independent World Class and has recorded 8 World Championship titles!

The COVID 19 Pandemic created a virtual WGI 2021 season, and opened new doors of creativity for the Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard. The season took place primarily online with select in-person rehearsals, to ensure the safety of performers and staff. POC 2021 culminated in a creative video project that was premiered at the WGI eShowcase online event, and an in-person performance during PYDF's inaugural MASKerade gala in May 2021.
