Island Grove United Methodist Church’s Blessings Community Micro Food Pantries
Two micropantries in New Berlin are kept stocked with food items, which are free to anyone in need. They are located at Corbett Park, and inside of Alamo Laundry at 716 E. Illinois St.
Loami Community Food Pantry: (217) 624-9900
Located at 106 S. Main St. in Loami. Provides food for families or individuals in need. Currently open from 5-7pm every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday, as well as from 6-8pm on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
Pretzel FEEDS
A grassroots organization whose mission is to stop hunger for families in the New Berlin school district. Check out their Facebook page or email pretzelfeeds@gmail.com for more information or support during the summer.
Please contact Heather Pidcock at hpidcock@pretzelpride.com with any questions about school food services. Families may complete an Application for Free Milk/Meals or Reduced Price Meals as appropriate.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP):
Formerly called “food stamps,” SNAP helps low-income people or families buy the food they need. Visit this website for eligibility and application information.
As of 6/2/2020, SNAP customers are also able to purchase food from participating grocery retailers online.
Women, Infants, Children (WIC): (217) 535-3102
WIC is a supplemental nutrition program for women who are pregnant, postpartum, or breastfeeding. Benefits also extend to infants and children up to age 5. Visit this website for more information.

A resource for individuals and families seeking information on how to obtain food. Available from 7am-10pm EST, Monday through Friday.
