Registration

Please complete the Registration Form to register for the first HEDP Community Workshop. There is no registration fee.

The registration deadline is July 12.

Venue

The first HEDP Community Workshop will be held at The Hotel at the University of Maryland in the Washington D.C. area July 16-17, 2019.

The group meeting will be held in Salons F&G at The Hotel; breakout sessions will be held in Salons D,E,F,&G.

Rooms have been reserved for Monday and Tuesday, July 15&16, at the following hotels:

  • The Hotel at the University of Maryland, $189/night (Booking ID 185032), (301) 277-7777.
  • Cambria College Park , $159/night (Booking ID 3789294), (301) 595-2600. The Cambria College Park is located 3 blocks from The Hotel at the University of Maryland, and there is a shuttle that runs between the two.

Guests may make reservations by telephone or online, and must identify themselves as part of the HEDP Community Planning Process Meeting. Guests must make their reservation by July 10.

Attendees will be on their own for meals. There are many restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel (see below) and three on the hotel property: Old Maryland Grill, Potomac Pizza, and Bagels ‘n Grinds. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon coffee / snack breaks will be provided.

Parking

There is a parking lot on site at The Hotel, and the public parking rate is $10/day. Valet parking costs $24 for those who are interested.

In addition, The Hotel is less than a mile from the College Park Metro station (on the Green Line). The Hotel shuttle travels to the station. If you are interested in taking the shuttle, please contact The Hotel [(301) 277-7777] to schedule service.

Goals

The primary goal of this workshop is to collect and refine community input for the FES strategic plan in the HEDP topical area.
