CPP-Houston

Overview

The CPP-Houston meeting will be held on January 13-17, 2020 at the Omni Houston Hotel at Westside in Houston, TX.

The CPP-Houston meeting will be the final community-wide meeting in the DPP Community Planning Process (CPP) before our report is delivered to FESAC. It will also be the only open meeting covering all of the topical areas in the CPP. The goal of this meeting will be to get community input and feedback for our final report for FESAC, which we intend to deliver by March 1, 2020. We strongly encourage anyone who is interested in the future of the Office of Fusion Energy Sciences to attend! Topics covered will include:

  • Prioritization of elements within topical areas
  • Discussion of cross-cutting elements that support all areas of FES
  • Concerns and feedback regarding the preliminary report

The Program Committee (PC) has released a preliminary report (see Draft Strategic Plan below) based on the input and feedback we have received from the topical area workshops and throughout the planning process so far. This preliminary report covers all topical and cross-cutting areas in a unified structure. If you have thoughts regarding this preliminary report, either supportive or critical (or both), we strongly encourage you to attend the CPP-Houston meeting.
