Web of Lies

By: Joel Voigt

To be caught by somebody's lies is to be trapped in a web. Sensed by the arachnid that wove it, stuck in a seemingly endless struggle, only tangling yourself more, the harder you thrash every muscle. Even after every bone, and sinew is afire, it will not change the fact that you are caught in a web of lies, and conveniently constructed lies. You may ask yourself: Where's the truth? The Truth rests in pieces among the lies. In discrepancies, idiosyncrasies, or bad gut feelings.

It's not hard to tell if somebody is lying. Only hard to believe that they are lying, the same way it's hard to believe you're stuck in a spider's web.
