PORTS Program

PORTS (Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students)® Program

PORTS (Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students)® Program is a FREE distance learning program with California State Parks. PORTS uses the power of videoconferencing to support K-12 educators in designing deep and meaningful learning experiences for their students.

Reaching digitally into classrooms makes it possible for teachers and students to directly access California State Parks they may never experience otherwise. We now leverage existing PORTS Programs and traditional school field trips to provide opportunities and funding for blended-access programs.

In 2022, PORTS Program entered its 16th year creating more equitable and sustainable access to our parks!

There are many ways to connect with California State Parks!

PORTS On-Demand provides FREE, LIVE, interactive virtual field trips to K-12 students and teachers for 1:1 experiences with park professionals all across the state.

passPORTS provides resources, blended-access opportunities, and funding for teachers and students to connect virtually and in-person with a California State Park near you.

With PORTScasts, we meet you where you are with FREE, LIVE public broadcasts from parks across the state.

In our Digital Content Library, you'll find resources for exploring California State Parks, designing lessons, as well as recordings of previous PORTcasts.
