PDF Setups

InDesign

1. File>Adobe PDF presets > Press Quality

2. Choose destination > Save

3. In the Tabs along the left hand side:

• General > Pages > All or a range > Export as > pages or spreads.

• Marks and Bleeds > Marks > Check the Trim marks Box only (If crop is required) > Bleeds > Use document bleed settings or manually add bleed amount - 3mm Bleed is standard (If bleed required).

• Output > Colour Conversion > Convert to destination (Preserve numbers) > Destination > U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 > Profile Inclusion Policy > Do not include Profiles

4. Leave all other settings as default and click SAVE PDF

Illustrator

1. File>Save as

2. Adobe PDF

3. Adobe PDF preset > Press Quality

4. In the Tabs along the left hand side:

• Marks and Bleeds > Marks > Check the Trim marks Box only (If crop is required) > Bleeds > Use document bleed settings or manually add bleed amount - 3mm Bleed is standard (If bleed required).

• Output > Colour Conversion > Convert to destination (Preserve numbers) > Destination > U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 > Profile Inclusion Policy > Do not include Profiles

5. Leave all other settings as default and click SAVE PDF

Photoshop

1. File>Save as

2. Photoshop PDF > Click OK on the override warning popup (check the do not show again box to stop seeing this).

3. Adobe PDF preset > Press Quality

4. In the Tabs along the left hand side:

• Compression > Do not down-sample and do not use any of the dropdown menu's.

• Output > Colour Conversion > Convert to destination > Destination > U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 > Profile Inclusion Policy > Do not include Profiles

5. Leave all other settings as default and click SAVE PDF
