Virtual Reality

We offer a Oculus Quest, Oculus Rift S and a Magic Leap 1 Creator Edition to be used in the CCI Digital Studios, situated in Eldon 1.125.

Any CCI students can use these pieces of equipment but priority is given to those developing and testing VR software. 

If you are using a headset loaned from the Loan Store, or your own device, please notify a CCI Digital Studios technician before use, if located within the CCI Digital Studios.

If you are demonstrating using VR in the CCI Digital Studios, you will need to complete a Risk Assessments and anyone who uses the equipment will also need to read and comply with the risk assessment. You will also need approval from a CCI Digital Studio technician.

To loan this equipment, you first need to complete the Equipment Loans Contract (you only need to complete this form once). Then come to the desk and tap your student card on the reader. For these items, we will still take your student card as a deposit.
