🐼 March – Animals & Women’s History Month From farm animals to zoo creatures, students learned to describe their furry (and creepy-crawly!) favorites in Chinese. March also celebrated Women’s History Month, where students discovered inspiring Chinese women, including the fearless Mulan and the powerful Empress Wu Zetian!
🍏 April – Springtime & Healthy Living! With spring in full bloom, students explored fruits, vegetables, and sports! They role-played as farmstand buyers and sellers, designed healthy meals, and even took part in a fun guessing game about their classmates’ favorite foods.
🍜 May – A Tasty Learning Experience! May was all about Chinese food and culture! Students practiced ordering in a Chinese restaurant, compared eating customs across Asia, and took on the Chopsticks Challenge, testing their skills with real chopsticks!
🏖️ June – Summer Fun & Dragon Boats! As the year winds down, students are gearing up for summer! They’re talking about vacation plans, beach adventures, and favorite pastimes, while fourth graders dive into the world of sea animals. We’re also celebrating the Dragon Boat Festival, where students are creating colorful dragon boats and learning the legendary tale behind this exciting tradition!
What a fantastic year of language, culture, and fun! Wishing all our students and families a joyful and adventurous summer ahead! ☀️🎉
