❄️ December – Role-Playing & Winter Fun! From body parts and colors to weather and clothing, students learned how to describe their world in Chinese! Third graders had a blast acting out a doctor-patient role play, while fourth graders went on a shopping spree, practicing their new vocabulary in fun, real-life scenarios.
🏮 January – Chinese New Year Magic! The classroom buzzed with excitement as students prepared for Chinese New Year! They learned about red envelopes (hongbao), the legend of Nian, and the Zodiac animals before crafting dazzling decorations. The grand finale? Our vibrant Lunar New Year Parade, where fourth graders proudly marched with dragons, lions, and festive props!
🎉 February – Parades & New Discoveries! Students kept the New Year spirit alive with an incredible schoolwide parade, filling the halls with color, music, and good luck! First graders made adorable Valentine’s Day crafts, second graders explored Chinatown’s importance in the U.S., and third graders designed dream houses while meeting the legendary Monkey King!
