At PNU Mindanao, students are empowered to make a difference in their community through the student government. The student government is a body of elected officials who serve as representatives of the student body, advocating for their needs and concerns.

Leading the charge is the current President of the student government, Ralph B. Original. With his leadership, the student government aims to foster an inclusive environment that encourages student involvement in shaping the university's policies and programs.

The student government at PNU Mindanao is committed to serving as a voice for the student body, promoting their rights and interests, and implementing programs that enrich their academic and personal growth. Through collaboration with students, faculty, and administration, the student government strives to build a stronger and more vibrant university community.

EXECUTIVE ORDER

VISION

A Nationally known Student Government in Philippine Normal University Mindanao that Provides Truthful, Excellent, and Quality Service through Leadership that Promotes the Common Good of the Students.

MISSION

To support the Vision, PNU-Mindanao SG shall:

a. unite and serve the Philippine Normal University-Mindanao students;

b. protect and promote the students’ rights and welfare;

c. uphold genuine academic freedom and excellence in the University;

d. work as a catalyst of relevant and liberating education;

e. foster principle and establish harmonious relationship among students, faculty and administrative staff and other sectors of the society; and

f. instill consciousness and democratic participation among the students in particular and the masses in general.

GOALS

1. To develop student leaders who are innovative and responsive to the needs of the students in Philippine Normal University Mindanao.

2. To provide dynamic leadership in the holistic development of the students in Philippine Normal University Mindanao.

OBJECTIVES

1. To implement projects and forum task force addressed at giving solutions/remedies to problems concerning students’ welfare, faculty, administrative staffs and other school personnel related to the students.

2. To spearhead activities and researches that can help further students’ awareness and involvement in resolving problems and issues of local, sectorial, national and global concerns.

3. To establish extension programs and linkages to other sectors of the society.

4. To conduct leadership programs intended for the students and student leaders.

5. To provide trainings, workshops and lectures to the students pertaining to arts, culture and other fields.

6. To encourage students in exerting best effort in developing their potentials for service and leadership in order to strengthen the organization.

7. To ensure the active participation of the students in all activities.

8. To secure a transparent administration.

9. To uphold the laws, morals, attitudes and values of the University.

EXECUTIVE BODY

The Executive power shall be vested to the Executive Body.

The Executive Body shall be composed of twenty one (21) Executive Officersnamely: the President, Vice President for Internal Affairs, Vice President for External Affairs, General Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Finance and Logistic Officer, five (5) Committee Chairpersons and ten (10) Student Council Officers.

The Committee Chairpersons shall be composed of the following:

a. Educational Development and Research Committee (EDRCOM) Chairperson;

b. Planning and Operations Committee (POCOM) Chairperson;

c. Organizational and Student Information Committee (OSICOM) Chairperson;

d. Sociocultural Committee (SOCULCOM) Chairperson; and

e. Student Welfare Committee (SWECOM) Chairperson.

LEGISLATIVE BODY

The Legislative power shall be vested to the Legislative Body of PNU-Mindanao.

The Legislative Body shall be composed of all Classroom Mayors, the Speaker of the House, General Convenor, Legislative Secretary, and Legislative Treasurer.

The four core officers – Speaker of the House, General Convenor, Legislative Secretary, and Legislative Treasurer shall be elected among the members of the Legislative Body.

The Mayors of each class shall be elected by their respective sections.
