Welcome to Pleasant Valley High School Choirs (Bettendorf, Iowa)! We are proud to provide every student in our program with the opportunity to learn and perform in a variety of choirs and settings, and foster lifelong love and support for music. We are over 200 students strong, in four curricular ensembles and four extra-curricular jazz choirs, as well as seasonal auditioned Bass and Treble Choirs.
The choirs perform in up to 5 concerts per year, may perform at IHSMA Solo & Ensemble and Large Group Festivals, sing at local events, and at Graduation. All High School Choir students are eligible to participate in the Choir Trip every other year.
The PVHS Choirs have received many honors and recognition, including consistent Division I ratings, Outstanding Performance awards, placement of students in Opus, ACDA, and All-State Choirs, top placements at national competitions, and singing at Carnegie Hall in 2003.
Our choirs are directed by Meg Byrne, Bailey Connors, and Catherine Lyon. All students in the program receive individual voice lessons from the three directors. Our accompanists are Sheila Doak and Gail Nikulski.
