Welcome to My School Counseling Website
Hello and welcome! I'm so glad you're here. As we begin the 2025–2026 school year, I’m excited to start my 27th year as a school counselor—25 of those years have been right here in the Pleasanton Unified School District. Before coming to Pleasanton, I served as a middle school counselor in San Leandro.
I earned my Master of Arts in Counseling and my Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential from Sonoma State University, after completing my Bachelor of Arts at California State University, Chico.
Over the years, I’ve had the joy and privilege of supporting students and families from transitional kindergarten through 12th grade, including those in alternative and continuation high school programs. Building relationships and helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally has been the heart of my work—and I look forward to continuing that journey with you this year.

About the School Counseling Program
The school counseling program is designed to support the academic, social-emotional, and college/career development of all students. Services are delivered through a combination of classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individualized support throughout the school year.
At the elementary level, the program places a strong emphasis on direct services that promote students’ personal and social growth. Counseling topics include academic support, college and career readiness, emotional regulation, conflict resolution, self-awareness, relationship skills, and goal setting. These foundational skills help students develop a strong sense of self and support their overall academic success.
As a school counseling professional, my goal is to help ensure that every student has the support they need to thrive in the school environment. I collaborate closely with our school’s specialist team and administrative staff to address the diverse needs of our students and foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning community.
All students have access to counseling services as part of their general education program. In alignment with our Counseling Master Plan (CMP), every student will engage with the school counselor through regular classroom lessons aimed at building lifelong skills for success in school, future careers, and beyond.
Through a combination of school-wide initiatives, targeted small group support, and responsive crisis intervention, the counseling program ensures comprehensive and equitable access to services for all students during their elementary years.
Family Communication
Maintaining strong communication with families is an essential part of supporting students at the elementary level. If you have any questions, concerns, or would like to schedule a time to talk about your student, please don’t hesitate to reach out by phone or email.
As I work directly with students and spend time in classrooms throughout the day, scheduling an appointment is the best way to ensure we have dedicated time to connect. I am available to meet with families in person, by phone, or via Zoom—whichever is most convenient for you.
