6th Grade Scheduling Information for 2026-2027

Dear Parents/Guardians of Incoming 6th Graders to HPMS,

We are excited to welcome your student(s) to Harvest Park Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year!

NOTE: Your child will automatically be enrolled at Harvest Park Middle School if they are in our attendance area. You will receive an e-mail this summer with more information about dates and walk-through registration procedures for Harvest Park.

Elective Choice Information Needed: 

Please COMPLETE THIS FORM BY MARCH 11, 2026 to let us know your student's elective selections for the 2026-2027 school year.  Please only fill out this form if your student will be attending Harvest Park in 2026-2027 school year.  PLEASE NOTE: This is for elective courses ONLY; all other courses will be added by Harvest Park Counseling.  Families will receive math placement information from the PUSD District Office in late Spring 2026.  If your student has an IEP, their current case manager will meet with their 6th-grade case manager at Harvest Park to confirm services and schedule options.  

 Elective Options:

1. Exploratory Wheel

   1. Our "Wheel" elective is a series of elective classes rotating every 6-7 weeks. Students who select the Wheel will rotate randomly through ALL 5 classes, currently: Art, Computers, Culinary Arts/Life Skills, World Language, and Drama.  

2. Intermediate Band 

3. Strings I

4. Exploratory Wheel + Intermediate Band / Strings I** 

   1. **In the event that we can offer two electives to 6th grade students, this option requires an extra period in their school day (A-Period). This is subject to availability and is not guaranteed to be offered for the 2026-27 school year.

• 2 semester-long electives or 

• Band/Strings + Spanish 1A/French 1A
