I am proud to be able to support PBIS and AVID at Harvest Park.
I received a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential at Chapman University and a Bachelor of Arts, double-majoring in Psychology & Social Behavior and Social Ecology at University of California, Irvine. Advocating for equal and equitable access to education for all students is my passion. As a school counselor, I work towards recognizing and bridging the gap for each unique student. I am grateful for this opportunity to be supporting students at PUSD.
I have been a school counselor in PUSD for over 10 years, primarily at Harvest Park. Although I have worked at all levels - elementary, middle, and high school - middle school is by far my favorite age group. My years at the middle school level, witnessing the increasing mental health challenges as students work to achieve their academic potential, has honed my passion for wellness and wellness programming at the middle school level.
I received a Master of Science in Counseling from California State University, East Bay with an emphasis in School Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with an emphasis in Therapeutic and Community Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University. It is truly my honor to support students in all aspects of their life at school and beyond.
I am thrilled to be returning to counseling after being home and raising my two sons. I'm thankful to have grown up in our beautiful city and attended Fairlands, Harvest Park, and Amador. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fresno State University and went on to earn my Master's degree in Counseling Education and Pupil Personnel Service Credential from San Jose State University.
I have worked as a high school counselor in different districts throughout my career and I am excited to return to Harvest Park after all these years to work with middle schoolers and our community.
