Nebraska SkillsUSA hosts several events throughout the school year. Below are the four major SkillsUSA conferences: Fall Leadership Conference (FLC), Mid-America Leadership Conference (Mid-Am), State Leadership & Skills Conference, and National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC).
Any active SkillsUSA member is eligible to attend FLC, Mid-Am, and SLSC. Students must qualify at SLSC to attend NLSC.

Fall Leadership Conference is a one-day, exciting event where student members build leadership skills, learn about SkillsUSA, and get energized for the year ahead. You will be able to attend hands-on workshops, meet student leaders from other schools, and grow your skills in teamwork, communication, and professionalism. It's a fun, inspiring way to kick off your SkillsUSA journey!

Mid-America Conference is a 3-day, immersive, hands-on leadership development event held annually in Columbus, Nebraska. It brings together students, advisors, and state leaders from multiple states to simulate a full year of SkillsUSA chapter activities in just 3 short days. Students will participate in several activities revolving around all the necessary elements to have a successful chapter.

State Leadership and Skills Conference is a massive 3-day annual event hosted by SkillsUSA state associations across the United States, showcasing the talents of students in career and technical education. The conference serves as a platform for students to demonstrate their skills, compete in various contests, and engage in leadership development activities.

National Leadership & Skills Conference is the premier event for career and technical education in the United States. Contest winners from all 50 states meet to compete and demonstrate their skills and talents in their respective careers. Qualifying and attending NLSC means that you are representing the entire state of Nebraska.

SkillsUSA can be expensive for active members who wish to attend conferences. Our advisors and officer team work to provide fundraising opportunities to help lower costs. The PLHS chapter is also always looking for dedicated donors willing to sponsor our students and their success.
