In addition to the College's institutional accreditation through the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, a number of Plaza College's programs are programmatically accredited or approved through nationally-recognized bodies. Each of these organizations has its own accreditation and reporting procedures. This Self-Study will focus on the institution a whole rather than specific programs.
Commission on Dental Accreditation
The Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation. The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education. Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
The Surgical Technology Program at Plaza College has a site visit scheduled for pursuing initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org). This step in the process is neither a status of accreditation nor a guarantee that accreditation will be granted.
