Collegiate accreditation is a peer review process by which a commission validates an institution and/or programs for which it confers degrees. Institutional accreditation reviews the college as a whole. Programmatic accreditation reviews a specific program or degree offering at the college. The US Department of Education maintains a list of recognized accreditors, each of whom establish standards by which they evaluate member institutions.
Plaza College is an accredited institution and a member of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) www.msche.org, 1007 North Orange Street, 4th Floor, MB #166, Wilmington, DE 19801. Plaza College’s accreditation status is Accreditation Reaffirmed. The Commission’s most recent action on the institution’s accreditation status in 2017 was to reaffirm accreditation. MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
