About
The Continuous Improvement in DIfferentiated Assistance (CIDA) Huddle is a community of practice that strengthens CCFAC's collective ability to support districts in various stages of Differentiated Assistance (DA). Additionally, the huddle develops, reviews, and shares resources to support DA best practices. It is open to any COE staff who facilitate DA or Compliance and Improvement Monitoring processes at LEAs and charters. Participants can expect to gain ideas, best practices, and strategies for supporting districts in any stage of DA.
Equity Imperative
The DA process is inherently an equity-driven effort, designed to identify and support students from historically marginalized populations within California’s System of Support. Despite significant investments of time, resources, and capacity-building to assist LEAs and charter schools through the identification process, persistent patterns of inequity remain, especially for students who are farthest from achieving academic outcome goals.
Through the CIDA Huddle within the CCFAC consortium, our collective responsibility is to help LEAs move beyond identification toward transformation. This means intentionally disrupting systemic patterns that perpetuate inequitable outcomes and co-creating sustainable solutions that strengthen local systems, build capacity, and ensure that every student, particularly those who have been underserved, can thrive.
Meetings
The CIDA Huddle typically meets 3–4x per school year. 2026–27 meeting schedule/cadence TBD.
