Tardies / Hall Passes / Parking Lot
Tardies
Starting class promptly increases learning time. Respect your teacher and classmates by arriving on time. If you are not in the room when the bell rings, you are considered tardy for class. The door will be closed by your teacher and you will report to Choice/Room 100.
10/10 Rule
Instructional time is from bell to bell. Teachers need time at the beginning of the period to get learning activities organized and started. They also need time to answer questions and summarize learning at the end of the period. In order to respect the needs of teachers and students, no students will be allowed to leave the classroom during the first ten or last ten minutes of class.
Hall Passes
Students entering and exiting the room can be disruptive to students and the teacher. In order to respect the learning of others and limit disruptions, students will be allowed three bathroom passes each six weeks per class.
We utilize an electronic hall pass system, SecurlyPass, that tracks student traffic in the hallways during class time. Students will request a hallpass electronically and Teachers will grant hall passes provided there is space available at that time. When hallway traffic has reached capacity, no passes will be available until the volume of hallway traffic decreases below capacity. No student should leave the classroom without an electronic pass approved by their teacher. Students should respect learning time and return to class promptly.
Leaving Campus/Student Parking Log
Students are not permitted to return to the student parking lot during the day without a pass from Student Services. Students should not leave campus during the day without parental permission and notification of Student Services. All students should check out at the front lobby window in the front of the building with Mr. Windham.
Board policy prohibits leaving campus for lunch.
