Meet the Principal Investigator

Leah Fabiano, Ph.d, CCC-slp

Leah Fabiano (She/Her/Hers) is a Professor and Director of the PhD Program in the Department of Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Fabiano's research interests focus on phonological development and disabilities in bilingual Latinx children and clinical issues related to minoritized pediatric populations. Dr. Fabiano's works in community with many using liberation frameworks to dismantle white supremacist and ableist structures in the field of communication sciences and disabilities.

Accountability Statement

A portion of Dr. Fabiano's summer salary is donated to organizations that support the Latinx Community. In the past, she has donated to Tucson Reparations, El Otro Lado, ColibrĂ­ Center for Human Rights, and Catholic Community Services of Southern Arizona.
