Weekly Updates and Reminders
Please scroll down to read all of the announcements! These will be sent to students and parents in 6th grade by Mrs. Hawkins, in 7th grade by Mrs. Hicks, and in 8th grade by Mrs. Harrell.
Winter Fest --
Mrs. Richardson and Mrs. Barnes will be presenting the following information starting Monday, October 12.
All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students are eligible to participate in this event.
Make-Up Pictures will take place next Tuesday, October 27, in the Intermediate Music Room.
An announcement will be made that students who need their picture taken should report to the Intermediate Music Room. They will return to class immediately after.
Picture proofs will be sent to the school to distribute to those individual students. Parents can then go online using their student's information to order pictures. We do not have flyers to send home for this make-up day.
If you wish to have your student’s picture retaken, please inform your student of this day.
Report Cards were sent home with students on Wednesday, October 21st.
PCA is partnering with Toys for Tots this year to bring Christmas gifts to children across Cleveland County!

Hello Middle School Families!
I hope your school year is off to a great start! Just a quick reminder for those who may be new or missed my first note: I’m Christy Campbell, your Intermediate Counselor.
My goal is to support your child’s academic growth and social-emotional well-being—and that includes helping them dream big and plan early for college and future success! Building a strong foundation now makes a world of difference.

Medication
If possible, parents/guardians should administer medications before or after school. If a student needs to take medication during the school day, parents must submit a signed Medication Form from the child’s physician. Parents/guardians must send medications to school in a sealed, original container labeled with the following information.
The student’s name and grade
The name of the medication
The amount of the medication to be taken
The time the child is to take the medication
Authorized school staff must administer ALL medication. Students are responsible for going to the office at the appropriate time to receive medication. Parents are responsible for the following: providing a signed medication form, bringing medications to the school, and picking up any leftover medications at the end of the school year. If your child attends an overnight field trip, bring the medicine to the school one week before the trip, and have a medication form signed for the trip.
Computer Fee: A $25.00 fee is collected from each middle school student for the use of their Chromebook. Send the money to the student’s homeroom teacher. Students will have access to Chromebooks on Monday, August 24th.
PCA will use Infinite Campus as its SIS grading platform again this school year. If you do not have access, please email adeaton@pinnacleclassicalacademy.com. Mrs. Deaton is our administrator for this system and will assist you if you need help or to create a parent account.
PE will be outside often. Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle and an extra pair of shoes. We recommend bringing a small, separate bag for dirty shoes.
Every Friday will be School Spirit Day. Students may wear PCA spirit wear tops (athletic eagle logo) with uniform bottoms on Fridays. Please note: Norris Merchandise is selling some PCA items with hoods - these items are NOT approved spirit wear. Per the dress code, students may not wear hoodies or hooded jackets inside the building at any time.
Cell phones and all other personal electronic devices (including but not limited to smartwatches, MP3 players, personal computers/laptops, video games, tablets, etc.) are NOT allowed at school during the school day. Any personal electronic device found during the day will be confiscated. Please refer to the school website for the full technology policy.
