Meet the Teacher

Hello! My name is Mrs. Hawkins, and I am excited to begin my sixth year teaching 6th Grade ELA at Pinnacle Classical Academy. I have been married to my husband, Brent, for 29 years, and we have two children, Greg and Evie. Greg is married to our wonderful daughter in law, Haley, and works as a Project Manager for the Thrasher Group, and Evie is a student at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she is majoring in Exercise Science and Athletic Training with plans to become a pediatric occupational therapist.

My goal is to help your child develop a love for reading, writing, and learning. Throughout the year, we will explore several engaging novel studies, strengthen reading comprehension skills, and complete a variety of writing assignments that encourage creativity and critical thinking. I look forward to partnering with you as we help your child grow academically, build confidence, and reach their fullest potential. I am excited for a wonderful year in 6th Grade ELA!
