Students use headphones every day in ELA. Please make sure they have some and bring them daily.
We are learning literary elements over the next couple weeks. We are discussing POV, Character traits, Plot and much more.
We are in the last couple chapters of our novel study, The Twenty One Balloons. We will have a project to go along with it. The kids seem to enjoy this book, so I am looking forward to the project! Info coming soon!
Captivate your students as they have fun writing their very own spooky stories. Spook Squad is a fantastic way to engage your students and get them writing with tension, suspense, and atmosphere. Inspire your students to create their own original mini sagas and become published writers!
Mini sagas (a story told in up to 100 words) can be funny or creepy, scary or mysterious, but must be your students' own work. If you need more graphic organizers they can be copied or downloaded. If you prefer to go paperless, check out the Online Writing Portal where your students type their work and you can submit them all together with the click of a button!

Reminders
Please help students remember to follow both classroom and PCA expectations each day.
Some students are not completing their reading logs for homework and are receiving 0’s. This is an easy 100—please make sure they are filling these out nightly.
Students should bring their supplies daily to class: headphones, pencils, notebooks/binders, and other needed materials. Being prepared helps them succeed!
