7th grade

We are reviewing the content we have learned this far, as well as reviewing poetry. Next week, we will begin our novel study on The Diary of a Young Girl. I am excited to read about Anne Frank with my seventh graders because her powerful, personal voice helps students understand history through an individual perspective while building empathy, historical understanding, and encouraging meaningful discussion about resilience, identity, and the impact of historical events on individuals.

Reminders

• Please help students remember to follow both classroom and PCA expectations each day.
  
  

• Some students are not completing their reading logs for homework and are receiving 0’s. This is an easy 100—please make sure they are filling these out nightly.
  
  

• Students should bring their supplies daily to class: headphones, pencils, notebooks/binders, and other needed materials. Being prepared helps them succeed!
