Description: Design and create a pair of animals figurines utilizing recycled bottle corks. I design on TinkerCAD and protoype using the 3D printers. The design process consists of brainstorming, researching, CADding, 3d printing, and repeat until I am happy with my final product.

The story: Junga and Babaganouj
One day, Junga the deer was doing what she loved to do, freeze in the middle of a highway in front of a car at night. But something felt different this time, she looked through the windshield and there was a rabbit! Junga was shocked and quickly pulled out her phone to call the police, no rabbit should be driving a car! But then the rabbit got out of the car and said, "Pleased to meet you. I am Officer Babaganouj, and you are arrested for jaywalking." And so then Junga had to go to jail. It was a small sentence at first but then she killed a mouse in prison so she had to stay in jail for a life sentence. So then Junga lived a sad, miserable life while Officer Babaganouj enjoyed driving above the speed limit.
Procedure:
1) Pick out the corks and measure their diameter with a caliper
2) CAD the enclosed rings and test print them to see if the rings fit the corks
I printed my first ring.
Didn't fit. :(
Second ring
Fits!
3) CAD the animal
My first animal was a deer. I forgot the ears but I think it looks alright.
My second animal was a rabbit. This rabbit was inspired by the examples we were given.
4) Printing the animal
I printed the top of my deer and realized the dimensions were not correct. Because I had only little time left, I picked a cork that fit the the 3d model, rather than making a deer with new measurements.
Final results:
I drew on the eyes and mouths to make them bolder.
I think my drawings fit my story well. Babaganouj looks very evil, as he is in the story. Junga looks very traumatized, as she sadly is in the story.
Reflections:
S - My strength was remembering to add supports every time
O - To improve, I could've made my deer (Junga)'s legs level, it is managing to stand but could've been better
U - I learnt the best positions to put a model in to make time for printing less, I learnt how to measure a cork
L - The main limitation I encountered was not always having a printer available when I needed one
WISCR:
I did good on the I for Individual (or independent?) and R for respect. I worked on my own work well. I respected myself by not being too harsh on my work and respected others' space when they were working on their CorkPals.
