Details:
The Nail Salon Game is a game that will teach players how to do their own nails.
This game will first show a simulation of what to do, (AKA apply the products in the correct order,) then the player will be asked to repeat the cycle, but they can choose their own colors and shapes.
This game will be beneficial for people who want to do their nails but don't know the proper routine.
Instead of a regular child's game with three steps, this game will go through the process step-by-step with each real item.
This game is unique from other ones because instead of just cutting the nail then painting, this game is intended to teach people the real routine to have proper nails that stick. It can also be easier to understand than fast-moving videos and it is still fun and interactive. Having your nails done at the salon can be so expensive, and this game can help those who have the materials learn how to do it without the cost.
My project checks for understanding by having the player repeat the routine themselves. If they get it wrong, they must restart.
Soul Reflections:
S: I think that my graphics and extra choices were especially good for this project. I made it so each object was colorful and fun to interact with, and at the end the player has the choice to choose a color which makes the project even more interesting and interactive.
O: If I had more time, I would have made each item draggable, and I would have made it so you could choose patterns and shapes for the nails at the end.
U: This project helped me greatly in terms of learning how to broadcast between sprites and making things interactive. It also helped me learn how to switch between costumes when one sprite is touching another.
L: I think that Mr. Mark being gone set me back a little bit because I couldn't ask questions, and also it is not possible for the "hand" sprite to change costumes as soon as another item touches it.
