Description: In this project, we had to use Caesar Cipher code to encrypt and decrypt different clues. Mrs. Tran has a "cow" that must be found. Each clue has a different Caesar Cipher code that must be decrypted by our Google Colab programs.
The first clue could be found in Schoology. "Vb. Cajw oxdwm jw xynw pjcn. Bqn rb yjwrltrwp knljdbn qna lxf qjb pxwn vrbbrwp!"
Decryption: "Ms. Tran found an open gate. She is panicking because her cow has gone missing!"
2. After the first clue was decrypted, we emailed our answer to Mrs. Tran. "Tcwn uckf jg ucy vjg eqy jcpikpi qwv ykvj LJ mkfu kp vjg Ewg Swcf gcvkpi okpv ecpfa."
Decryption: "Raul said he saw the cow hanging out with JH kids in the Cue Quad eating mint candy."
3. After this clue was decrypted, we emailed our answer to Mrs. Tran, and this is what we recieved: "Tz. Ayhu yljhssz zllpun Tz. Rpun huk Tz. Zhujolg lhapun aol zhtl tpua jhukf."
Decryption: "Ms. Tran recalls seeing Ms. King and Ms. Sanchez eating the same mint candy."
4. After we used our code to decrypt this clue, this is what we recieved for the next clue: "Awumwvm nwcvl i kivlg ezixxmz eqbp “Kitt um” ezqbbmv vmfb bw i vcujmz: 650806…"
Decryption: "Someone found a candy wrapper with "Call me" written next to a number: 650806..."
5. This is what we recieved for the last clue: "Zme cuf swbjs cgwfpmy aa sdeo gx goa fv. So otn zbuqe iz. Pb batkkm aw Rs. Yjpjpke’a uohpkk tw mnv pox nabxtpbk svait."
Decryption: "The cow loves candies as much as you do. No one stole it.. It walked to Ms. Sanchez's office to get his favorite snack."
SOUL:
S: One strength that i had in this project was efficiency. Me and Joanna worked incredibly fast(except for the last question) and focused on completing each clue quickly and correctly.
O: An opportunity that helped me was me and Joanna's code working already. This made it so it was extremely easy to decode most of the clues using Caesar's Cipher
U: This project helped me understand Caesar Cipher and Python more as beneficial programs.
L: One limitation we had was the fifth clue. It was extremely hard to decipher and took a long period of time to solve.
WSCR:
C - clear communicators: Me and Joanna always communicated clearly to one another and always talked to each other to decipher each clue. We always asked for help from eachother when needed and we used teamwork to solve all of the riddles.
R - respectful individuals: Joanna and I were respectful individuals when working on decrypting these clues. We aways asked for help when needed, and we never used hurtful or rude language when speaking to eachother, even when we were frustrated. We always motivated one another and we encouraged eachother to finish the fifth clue, even though it took a long time to solve and was extremely difficult to decrypt.
