Bebras Computing Challenge - The Bebras Challenge is designed to help students explore their talents and passion for informatics and computational thinking with engaging challenges. Students work through a set of tasks that focus on different topics and skills within informatics and computational thinking. They will have 45 minutes to complete as many tasks as they can. Students will get 3 sets of 5 tasks. The 3 sets each have a level of difficulty: easy, medium or hard. The Bebras Challenge will take place in weely GATE class the week of November 9. 

History Bowl - Students participate in a history competition held at the Heinz History Center. A team of students collaborates to complete challenges on each floor. The History Bowl will take place on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. 

Wordsmith Vocabulary Competition - Students test their vocabulary and verbal skills in this competition. They compete in a variety of word-based challenges. The Wordsmith Competition will take place to North Allegheny on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. 

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust STEAM Symposium - In this full day Symposium on Thursday, November 19, student groups will rotate through interactive workshops focusing on key industries facilitated by professional artists and industry leaders. This STEAM event will combine science and the arts to provide an immersive experience through hands-on learning. Workshops include: Augmented Reality, Design Thinking, Digital Art, Digital Storytelling, Filmmaking, Immersive Experience Design, Music Production, Sound Art, and Stop Motion Animation.
