Norse Mythology and Current Events Competitions - Students prepare for the Norse Mythology competition by reading various texts about the subject. Questions will range from geography in the texts to details about gods and goddesses. While preparing for and playing Current Events, players learn about the major political and cultural events of the most recent calendar year. Students participating will need to actively prepare for each competition. Students will participate in both competitions at Seneca Valley Middle School on Thursday, January 22, 2026. 

American Mathematics Competition 8 - The AMC 8 is a national test that is a 25 question, 40 minute multiple choice exam designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills. The exam provides students the opportunity to apply the concepts taught at the middle school level and beyond. Students will take the AMC 8 test on Friday, January 23, 2026. 

GlobeQuest Competition - Geography buffs work as team members to collaborate and solve a variety of geography challenges. Two teams of five students will head to North Allegheny on Friday, January 30 to compete against other regional teams. (Rescheduled for Monday, March 2.)

NFL Play 60 Training Day - Get your body moving and your brain buzzing at the Western Pennsylvania Sports Museum! Kids of all ages are invited to gear up and go long at the NFL PLAY 60 Training Day, sponsored by DICK’S Sporting Goods, on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Parent registration is required.
