Carlton Bradford

Biography

Carlton Bradford earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in sculpture from the University of Arizona in 1986. He returned there to teach in 2002 and became an Associate Professor in 2011 of 3D and Extended Media in the School of Art. He teaches undergraduate and graduate classes with a focus on metal and wood fabrication. Previously, he taught at the College of Marin in Kentfield, California, when he exhibited with the Stephen Wirtz Gallery in San Francisco. Bradford has exhibited his work widely over his forty-year career in both solo and group exhibitions. Early in his career he worked as a studio assistant to several professional sculptors, supporting all aspects of foundry work, carving and fabricating wood sculpture, and large-scale metal fabrication and installation. www.carltonbradford.com
