5th Grade Artists arranged their favorite numbers into a composition inspired by Jasper Johns! Using oil pastels, they worked with thick- IMPASTO and BLENDING techniques showing ANALOGOUS COLOR SCHEMES!

5th grade artists learned how to use One Point Perspective to draw their dream bedrooms! Students were inspired by the work of Vincent Van Gogh and incorporated symbols to represent their interests.

After viewing the Art of the Pacific Northwest Natives, 5th grade artists used their own version of symbolic animals to tell their story. By developing their own wall pockets, the students learned various clay techniques and the importance of functional pottery in our history!
MIXED UP MONA
5th grade artists MIXED UP the Mona Lisa! With drawing practice learning about the parts of the face and proportions, they created their own portraits using Mona as a model! After researching various artists, students changed the Mona to represent styles of art from throughout history!
Batik Still Life Drawings
5th grade artists learned the Batik style of art but instead of wax they used india ink. After learning about drawing still lifes, they created their own drawings by drawing what they see. Completing the artwork batik style.
