Matt has been described as a “tenor with a steely sound and robust tone” by the Denver Post. He has performed many opera roles some of which include Nemorino in L’Elisir d’Amore, Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly, Rodolfo in La Boheme, Hoffmann in Tales of Hoffmann, Canio in Pagliacci, The Duke in Rigoletto, and Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana. Matthew has been a supplemental chorus member of Lyric Opera Chicago for the last 13 seasons. He is also an accomplished Oratorio and concert singer. He has performed Handel’s Messiah over 25 times in his career. His other Oratorio works include the Bach Magnificat, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Respighi’s Laud to the Nativity, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah. Opera companies Matthew has performed with include Sarasota Opera, Indiana Opera North, Aspen Opera Theater, Opera! Lennawee, Opera Grand Rapids, Light Opera Works, Harrisburg Opera, and Lyric Opera of Chicago. The orchestras he has sung with include Adrian Symphony, Illinois Valley Symphony, LaPorte Symphony, Charlotte Philharmonic and the Indianapolis Symphony. Matthew has made his directorial debut during SBLO's 2016-2017 season, acting as stage director for Die Fledermaus.

Julius Cruse Miller, III is a lyric baritone from Detroit, MI. During the summer of 2015, Mr. Miller took part in the OperaMaya Young Artist program in Mexico and attended the program again in the summer of 2018 on a full scholarship. Mr. Miller has performed the role of Count Almaviva in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” at the 2016 InterHarmony International Music Festival in Arcidosso, Italy. Mr. Miller has performed as a soloist with the South Bend Symphony Orchestra, the Elkhart Community Chorus, and was a featured soloist at the Detroit Spiritual Festival. Mr. Miller has played the role of the Father in the South Bend Lyric Opera’s production of Humperdinck’s, “Hansel and Gretel” and the role of Marullo in their production of Verdi's "Rigoletto". Mr Miller has been a musical director of the United Youth Theatre in South Bend where past shows have been The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, Matilda, Les Miserables, and The Addams Family.
