Education and Exploration: Our revamped AquaBabies 2026!
Our AquaBabies program features three classes. Though primarily split by age, each class also builds on skills from the previous one. Please follow instructors recommendations for the best class for you and your little swimmers.
Our AquaBabies classes are designed for ages 6 months to 18 months of age, our AquaTots classes are designed for ages 18 months to 36 months of age, and our AquaKids classes are designed for ages 24 months to 48 months of age. All three levels require all children to be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water as the instructor leads families in safe holds, fun songs and activities that are meant to build comfort and skill in the water to strengthen an interest in and safety in water for all ages.
AquaBabies primarily focuses on introductions to the water, getting face wet, body positions/support techniques, lifejackets, safety buns, returning to the wall after entering the water, and water exploration.
AquaTots primarily focuses on blowing mouth bubbles, assisted floats, going underwater with support, gliding/kicking with support, lifejackets, jumping from and returning to the wall, and transitions from instructors to parents.
AquaKids primarily focuses on blowing nose bubbles, floating independently, going underwater with or without support, gliding/kicking with or without assistance, lifejackets, pushing off the wall on front and back, group activities with multiple parents and little swimmers, and spending more time with an instructor to prepare little swimmers for group or private lessons without a parent.
We will continue to offer Level 1 Preschool Aquatics for swimmers aged 3 years to 5 years who are comfortable in the water without a parent. Please see our Group Lessons page and Levels page for more information.
Class registration covers one parent/guardian in the water per child. If you wish to bring two adults, there is a $7 instructional drop-in fee for the second adult. This is going up $2 to match all other specialty instruction drop-in rates beginning in Spring 2026.
We are excited to continue offering our AquaBabies, AquaTots, and AquaKids programs! AquaBabies will be at 9:30am, AquaTots willbe at 10am, and AquaKids will be at 10:30am.
AquaBabies, AquaTots, and AquaKids will continue to be $50 per 5 class session for one swimmer and one parent who will be in the water. If a second adult would like to join the class, we have a drop in rate of $7 per class!
We are no longer unable to accommodate families staying after class to join open recreation. If anyone wishes to join open recreation at 11:30am, they will need to climb out of the water and pay applicable fees for any swimmers in their group.
Our AquaBabies program is taking over our Monday/Wednesday evenings during group swim lessons this April! We will offer both a Monday only and a Wednesday only class for AquaBabies at 6pm. AquaTots will be only Monday nights at 6:30pm and AquaKids will be only Wednesday nights at 6:30pm.
Spaces are limited, as these classes will be at the same time as group swim lessons. Thank you for sharing the pool with our local youth as they also learn water safety!
