The Diploma Program
What is the Diploma Program?
The Diploma Program at Hill-Freedman is a globally-recognized college-preparatory course of studies that prepares students for an increasingly globalized and competitive world.
The DP Curriculum
The Diploma Program (DP) curriculum is comprised of six subject groups and the DP core: theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS) and the extended essay. Through the DP core, students reflect on the nature of knowing, conduct college-level independent research, and engage in experiences based on their interests.
More information can be found on the DP Course, CAS, and Extended Essay pages of this website.
DP Assessments
Assessments are an important part of the program, giving students a chance to demonstrate their learning, engage in independent inquiry, apply skills, and build enduring understanding.
More information on assessments can be found on the IB Assessment page of this website.
We encourage open communication at all times. For questions, please reach out to Mr. Emerson, the DP Coordinator.
Parents and students should consult the parent and student complaint procedure in the case of concerns about the implementation of the program or decisions made by the program coordinators. Parents and students should also review the program policy handbook linked at the top of this page for more information on the school's policies regarding language development, inclusion, assessment, admissions, and academic integrity.
