Digital controls utilize electronic components such as transistors, capacitors, resistors and diodes to create circuits. These circuits, in turn, control the operation of a system’s main components. This course provides a basic overview of electronic components that make up more complicated printed circuit boards.  (Course designed by ESCO Institute.)

In this course, you will learn to:

• Functions of a printed circuit board.

• Describe logic gate.

• Explain the operation of an AND, NAND, OR, NOR, XOR, SNOR and a NOT gate.

• Explain and list rectifiers.

• How capacitors can be used to smooth a rectifier's output waveform.

• How electronic circuitry can be used to control the operation of an electronic expansions valve's (EEV) stepper motor.
