Culture & Behavior Management includes:
effective lesson pacing, scholar engagement, teacher and scholar rapport, solid instructional routines, procedures and classroom management that fosters a culture for achievement under effective classroom supervision.
The culture development and behavior management involve providing adequate think time, building scholar curiosity and interest, seeking multiple ways to engage content, making prerequisite skills, and making adjustments if there are gaps and knowledge. The teacher establishes clear communication and expectations, routines and procedures, defines and promotes RESPECT and redirects off-task behaviors with minimal disruptions.
The educator will foster pride, instill the value of hard work and the belief that all scholars can succeed, which looks like the educator circulating and scanning the classroom in order to manage on-task academic behaviors (i.e. not the teacher sitting while teaching). As a result, this will minimize misbehaviors and reinforce rewards and incentivizing positive behaviors, thus creating a healthy classroom where scholars thrive.
