NJROTC instructors are military service personnels certified and employed by school districts hosting NJROTC units. 

The Department Head of Naval Science at a school hosting an NJROTC program is called the 'Senior Naval Science Instructor' (SNSI), the second instructor being called the 'Naval Science Instructor' (NSI).

Capt. Clemia Anderson, Jr. (Ret.)

Meet the Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI)

Captain Anderson is a retired Navy Officer of 39 years; he was an enlisted personnel for 10 years before being promoted to a commissioned officer; Captain has never failed a rank promotion. He had also studied and earned a degree in Education and Curriculum Development as well as a Masters of Science in Organizational Leadership.


While serving in the Navy, Captain learned about strong leadership and efficient mentoring. This naturally became the ultimate objective when it came to training and guiding his students. He also likes pupils that are passionate about their goals and are willing to go above and beyond to attain them no matter what.


Captain Anderson will be teaching the NS-3 & 4 classes this school year, as well as overseeing any and all events and activities held within the program.

Gy. Sgt. George Hinton (Ret.)

Meet the Naval Science Instructor (NSI)

Gy.Sgt. Hinton is a retired Marine of 23 years, with a Batchelor's of Science in Terrorism and Counterterrorism studies, who is currently perusing his PHD in Constitutional Law.  

Gy.Sgt. Hinton, will teach the NS-1 &2's this coming school  year.  Gy.Sgt. Hinton will additionally be teaching, Drill, Color Guard and several other activities this year.
