Have a look at the slide show (below) to see the varied artwork that Level 2 and 3 learners explore.
The courses start structured with lots of workshops and then moves into experimentation and by the end of the course you will be working on your own interests in your chosen specialism

Some activities for you to try at home
To get you warmed up for art and design at Petroc College let's try a lateral thinking session that you can do at home.
You may not have all you need to make artwork so have a look around your house and find things you can make colours from.
Use the slides opposite to give you some ideas.
Did you know if you chop up and boil avocado stones with water for 15 minutes, you get an amazingly rich red dye?
You can present either - your experiments, a colour wheel or an image you have created using different natural materials from around the house and garden.
Have fun and explore - you can't do it wrong!
