On 3/19/26 the third graders had their field trip to the Liberty Science Center. They took the bus. They had assigned groups with 1 or 2 chaperones. They did fun stuff like the infinity climber and learned about the solar system in the Planetarium. They also got to go around and do activities.

In school on February 9th the 3rd graders had an orthodontist visit and they learned how to take care of their teeth, how to brush their teeth very well, how to put on braces and make a mold. In the end the doctor song gave out coins if you answer the question and in the end you gave one coin and if you go to her then you can trade in the coin. The third graders said it was fun and at the same time they learned a lot. The last thing that they learned to properly brush their teeth is side to side, circles and up and down. Now the third graders now know how to brush their teeth properly.

In ELA the third grade is learning about sea animals! They are so excited to learn about it and they are also writing. The third graders are writing a five page essay of what they have read and learned.
In math they are learning about arrays. If you don't know what an array is, an array is a data structure that has shapes in a rectangular or square shape to store information. The 3rd grade has just started learning about them. They will hopefully enjoy learning about arrays!

The 3rd grade has so many fun activities that they get to do throughout the year. First of all, the third graders get to paint the different continents on pumpkins. This can increase their growth mindset, learn and have creativity. They also learned about the different types of clouds to predict when a storm is going to happen. In third grade they are currently reading a book called “My Fathers Dragon” where this kid does challenging obstacles for him to achieve his goal (they didn’t finish the book yet). They are reading later in the year a book about the Titanic history and the challenges that people had to take.
