In fifth grade we went to the Legoland Discovery Center located in the American Dream Mall . We participated in a Lego workshop where we made basketball catapults. There are fun rides, a 4D movie, play area, laser area and even a lego city. Our grade had lots of fun playing fun games and doing fun activities.

On April 1st the fifth graders that had signed up for Trep$ had their market place where they sold their items that they made to get a profit. They learned what a loss of profit was, breaking even, and a profit, and plus they were taught what entrepreneur and what it means. The fifth graders made as much money as they could and some people even sold out. It was fun for students to learn how to be an entrepreneur is. Also some people made profits, other broke even, but some had loss profits.

5th grade has both fun and important subjects. In ELA we are learning about the Holocaust. The Holocaust was 1933-1945. The Holocaust is when a leader named Hitler killed about 6 million Jewish people and many others. In math we have been learning about adding decimals. Decimals are a way to count money. The decimal point represents the separation of the numbers. In science we have been doing water cycles. Water cycles are evaporation, condensation, precipitation, transpiration, and runoff. So you can see 5th grade has fun and important subjects.

Fifth grade graduated from LEAD. What you learn in LEAD is about why not to take drugs, how to make a goal, the functions of the brain, how to manage your emotions, and lots more. Even though LEAD is very serious about what it talks about, LEAD is a very fun class. Fifth grade had their lead graduation on January 28, 2026. All of the Fifth graders got their certificate for being part of LEAD. After all the fun from the certificates, Brady Hubner, Westley Cheetam, and Declan McDonough wrote speeches and got medals for getting picked. The Fifth graders had a lot of fun and loved the experience.

Thanksgiving
Parade
When you are in fifth grade there is a student council, President, Vice President, Secretary, and class representative. There are two representatives in each class . There can only be one winner in each position. If you were running, you had to make a slogan, a paper shirt, and a bumper sticker. They also had to make posters for example, ‘’Taking Notes and Taking Actions.’’ Finally they had to make three policies: one policy example could be, better school. After all of that work, they had to write a speech on their policies and why they should be what they are running for. They said the speech on October 27.

service Club
In fifth grade, there is a Service Club. All fifth graders get to have a chance to help out kids and help out in school concerts. Fifth grade is doing a great job so far at helping the kids in different conflicts and helping out in different concerts! Service Club did their first job on Tuesday, November 11th. This day was Veterans Day. Service Club was giving out gift bags and giving out food for the veterans. Thank you Service Club for all you do!
