Ozempic in Vietnam is a registered prescription medicine in 2026. The legal way to get it is with a doctor's prescription. A supervised month through an international hospital costs about 3.5 to 6 million VND.

Ozempic is semaglutide from Novo Nordisk, and it is on the Ministry of Health register. The Long Chau chain lists it under registration number 570410174600. It says the pen is sold only on a doctor's order. Vietnam's Law on Pharmacy, number 105/2016/QH13, sets the rule. A prescription drug may be sold only with a prescription, and selling one without it is a banned act. Some shops still skip that step. That tells you about the seller, not the rule.

International hospital or clinic. Per month (VND): 3.5 to 6 million. About (USD): $140 to $240.
Premium clinics. Per month (VND): up to about 6.5 million. About (USD): up to $260.
Private doctor. Per month (VND): 3 to 4 million. About (USD): $120 to $160.
US price, no insurance. Per month (VND): n/a. About (USD): $900 to $1,100.
Even the hospital route costs about a quarter of the US price without insurance. A Long Chau pharmacist quoted 4,750,000 VND per box. Check what a box holds before you compare it with a price per pen. A price far below these figures is a warning sign of a fake, not a deal.

A real Ozempic pen needs a fridge before first use. Before you pay, check four things. The pen was kept cold. The box is sealed and printed in English or Vietnamese. The expiry date is at least six months away. The lot number is easy to read. Shopee and Lazada listings skip these checks, and normal parcel delivery here does not keep things cold. The World Health Organization warned about fake Ozempic in June 2024.

FV Hospital, Vinmec and Family Medical Practice stock Ozempic when supply allows. Stock comes and goes from month to month, so phone ahead. Wegovy, the weight brand of the same drug, is scarce here, so weight clinics tend to prescribe Ozempic. Semaglutide sold "for research" is a separate case. It is not registered, and the law bans trade in products like that.

The Ozempic and semaglutide field guide lists clinic prices city by city and the warnings on the label. It comes from Peptides Vietnam, an education site. Nothing here is medical or legal advice.
Yes. The law requires one. At a hospital, a doctor writes it after a consultation.
Pharmacy prices move with import supply. Between hospitals, the gap reflects the level of care and how well each one keeps the pen in stock.
Yes. Semaglutide is the drug, and Ozempic is Novo Nordisk's brand for type 2 diabetes. Wegovy is the same drug sold for weight management.
