Physical Education is an integral part of Pennsbury's total educational program. We believe that a student's well being is enhanced through daily physical activity. Through a developmentally appropriate and sequential physical education program, our students have the opportunity to learn to perform efficiently the motor skills they need in everyday living. The primary goal is to develop the physical, social, cognitive and emotional well being of our students.

Our program promotes leadership, critical thinking, decision making, cooperation, respect and responsibility by focusing on contemporary activities designed to motivate and encourage maximum participation. Richer experiences are created for our students by integrating the subject content with technology, multicultural, citizenship, and problem solving competencies. A strong emphasis is placed on fostering a positive and nurturing environment where all students can achieve success as an individual and as a group member.

It is well documented that many diseases affecting our society can be avoided through daily exercise. Our comprehensive curriculum will insure that Pennsbury students are provided with the skills, knowledge, and understanding to choose a lifetime of wellness.
