Induction
Juniors with a 3.5 weighted cumulative GPA may petition to join the National Honor Society during March of their junior year upon receiving an invitation. Induction for the spring is scheduled for Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the East Auditorium.
Seniors with a 3.5 cumulative weighted GPA (not previously inducted as juniors) may petition to join the National Honor Society during September of their senior year. Induction for the fall is scheduled for Friday, October 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the East Library (location is subject to change based on numbers).
Application acceptance is based on showing evidence of the four pillars of the NHS: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character. To be inducted and remain a member in good standing, students must show evidence of these pillars by the criteria listed below:
Students must maintain a 3.5 or greater weighted GPA prior to and following induction
Complete 15 hours of community service prior to induction (grades 9-11) and complete an addition 8 hours once inducted
Show evidence of leadership within the school and community prior to induction (completed and signed form on application)
Be a positive role model within the school and community
